Care instructions
A deshedding blade dulls from hair left in the teeth and from sitting wet, not from use. Two minutes after each groom is the whole job.
-
1
Clear the blade after every groom
Push the release and pull the hair straight out. Hair left in the teeth is what dulls the blade.
-
2
Dry it immediately if it gets wet
Stainless still spots. Towel it dry, don't leave it on a wet benchtop.
-
3
Light oil every few months
A drop of mineral oil along the blade, wiped back. Not cooking oil — it goes sticky.
-
4
Do not put it in the dishwasher
The detergent pits the blade edge and the handle overmould lifts.
